Privacy Policy for "Athkurhum" (اذكرهم)

Last updated: October 5, 2026

Athkurhum is an app that helps you pray for the people you love. It is built to work entirely on your device: no accounts, no servers, and no data collection.

Data we collect

We do not collect any data. The app does not send any information about you or your usage to us or to any third party.

What is stored on your device

Everything you enter stays on your device and never leaves it:

• The spaces you create: names, relationships, prayer purposes, and prayers you write yourself.
• Which of today's prayers you have read, and your chosen daily prayer count.
• Your settings: appearance and reminder time.
• Your record: the tasbeeh counter with its daily statistics, and the number of days in a row you completed your prayers.

We have no access to this data. You can erase all of it from the app's settings, and deleting the app deletes it. It may be included in your device backup (such as iCloud) if you have enabled one; that is between you and your backup provider.

Location (Qibla direction)

When you open the Qibla page, the app asks for location permission to work out the direction. Your location is read on your device only at that moment. It is not stored and is not sent to us or to anyone else. You may decline, and the rest of the app works as usual.

Notifications

The daily reminder is a local notification scheduled on your own device. No push notification servers are used and nothing is sent over the internet. You can turn it off in the app or in your device settings.

Widget

The home screen widget shows prayers from your spaces. It reads them from storage shared between the app and its widget on your device only.

Sharing and links

When you choose to share a prayer as an image, the image is created on your device and handed to the app you pick through the system share sheet. When you open the source of a prayer, the link opens in your browser. What happens next is governed by that app's or website's own policy.

App rating

The app may show the store's own rating prompt. It is provided by the system, and we receive no data about you from it.

Tracking, ads and analytics

The app contains no advertising, no analytics or tracking tools, and no third-party libraries that collect data.

Children

The app does not collect data from any user, including children.

Changes to this policy

If anything changes in how the app handles data, we will update this page and the date above.
